About Andrea

Born in 1969, Andrea has been riding since her teenage years. At age 20, she achieved her first international placement in an FEI Dressage class, Intermediare I. For three years, she managed to go to medical school while riding and training dressage horses at the same time.

She has been training horses and teaching for nearly 20 years, and has brought several horses to Grand Prix level, the last of which was Paritjaett, 14y old Russian gelding, with whom she was placed several times in Grand Prix level competitions.

Andrea currently operates out of Wyvren Farm in Northern California and specializes in Piaffe and Passage training. She developed her own very sensitive and motivating method of training dressage to high levels of performance (which is often not in line with the sometimes harsher methods used in Germany) and is convinced that she would have more professional success and a positive impact in the US where sensitive training methods are more appreciated.

When writing about Andrea we must not forget to introduce to you her own horses, their peculiar background and the wonderful life they now have with Andrea (or their new owner).
